Thermochemistry
Introduction: The whole idea of hot and cold can be rather misleading as we begin the study of thermodynamics. Our sensation of either hot or cold is extremely relative. What you call hot to someone else may be cool or even cold.
We also tend to perceive the concepts of heat and temperature as identical, when in fact they are not. A system can have a high temperature yet contain a small amount of heat.
In this study we will define the terms very specifically and will quantify (i.e. measure and calculate) the different concepts involved in the study of thermodynamics.
