BLOCK 8: Acids, Bases and Salts

Acids, Bases and Salts (Chap. 19)

Introduction: From foods to medicines to health and beauty products, it is literally impossible to escape the influence of acids, bases and salts in our lives.

This unit will illustrate the breadth and depth of how these substances insect our lives.

Sometimes we automatically associate danger with acids and safety with bases, but either one can be either safe or dangerous, depending on the circumstances in which they are used
